Now in it’s 27th year, the Jersey City Art and Studio Tour (JCAST) is set to showcase more art than ever before. This weekend, October 14/15, JCAST will feature art and events in 100+ locations in Jersey City, ranging from downtown Jersey City, Heights, Journal Square, and all the way down to the Greenville area. The weekend will begin on Friday night, from 6-9pm, with a reception at the Mack-Cali Harborside Atrium. According to the JCAST website the event, “is open to the public and will feature live music, demonstrations, live painting, [and] coloring book art. Attendees will have a sneak-peek at the the Pro Arts exhibit, which will be showcasing in a gallery adjacent to the Atrium.” To allow easier access to see these exhibits, shuttle buses will be available from 12-6pm on both days.
As the start of the weekend has a reception, so will the conclusion of the JCAST weekend as well. The artists’ reception will take place October 15 from 5-8pm at the Hudson County Community College Dennis C. Hull Gallery in Journal Square. If you can’t make it out, follow the hashtag #JCAST2017 on all social media to get an up close look at these exhibits.
