The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has been working on the $4 billion train station hub for the past decade, and it’s finally set to open in March. Located on Ground Zero in World Trade Center, this hub will serve hundreds of thousands of passengers along with operating a billion-dollar shopping center. Currently, it is estimated that the World Trade Center line serves about 44,000 passengers, and this number will skyrocket to 200,000+ once Oculus is officially completed. The PATH railway is a major reason for many to reliably and quickly commute from New Jersey to New York.
There were quite a few hiccups along the way in this Santiago Calatrava-designed building, but it is slated to transform the area into a bustling center once again.
